"Sea and Land"

This series, created in 2015, is a visual homage to my island, Cuba. Each work reflects the strength and contrast between the sea and the land, two elements so distinct that, nevertheless, they cannot exist separately. Their gestural and organic forms evoke the Cuban coasts, their ever-changing landscapes, and their eternal connection.

Painted using mixed media techniques, oil and acrylic, these pieces were born from memories of dark beaches and turbulent waves, of rocks and coral, of silences and salty winds. It is a dialogue between two worlds that need each other: the solidity and stillness of the land, and the infinite movement of the sea.
